Journal emails
When email subscriptions are available, your email address and subscription status are stored to send the updates you request. Confirm your subscription by email before receiving journal updates. Each update includes an unsubscribe link. The sending service is Resend, once connected.
Community discussions
Visitors register with name, mobile and email. A secure, HTTP-only session cookie retains the connection for 30 days. The initial contact details are self-reported; they are not identity verification. Returning email sign-in links become available after email delivery is connected. Team administrators retain protected account sign-in. Your chosen display name and contribution may become public after review; your email and account identifier are not published. Contributions are stored for moderation and spam prevention.
Device giving community
Your contact name, account email, phone number and city are stored for coordination. Your public chosen name, city, device need and summary appear only after owner approval. Donor descriptions and messages stay private to the donor and Hilash. Pickup addresses are arranged directly, not published. An adult must apply; for a student under 18, a parent or legal guardian must use their own account.
Delivery photos and videos are published only by Hilash after separately recorded permission. Assistance does not depend on a photo. Ask Hilash to correct or remove a request, profile or image. Community records remain stored until they are removed following your request or a periodic owner review; there is no automatic expiry yet.
Request videos, feedback and team administrators
Request and gratitude videos, activity photographs and uploaded media are stored privately until reviewed. Your own uploads and authorised administrators can access private previews. Public display also requires the related request or activity to be public. Publication is optional and requires separate consent; education support never depends on making a video. A guardian must act for a minor. Requests can include education-fee needs and proposed contribution amounts in INR; the website does not collect payments or store bank details.
Hilash may authorise trusted team accounts to manage content, moderate discussions and coordinate help. These administrators can see private coordination contacts, donor offers and pending uploads. Only the owner may grant or revoke that access. Contact Hilash to request removal of a request, contact profile, comment or video.
Private student verification
Student name, age group, enrolment details, address and PIN code support manual team verification. A student ID or enrolment proof may be uploaded privately. Masked Aadhaar is voluntary: hide the first eight digits; do not submit a full Aadhaar number. This website does not authenticate Aadhaar or automatically verify identity. Verification images never become public, even after admin review, and are not copied into Google Sheets. You and authorised administrators can delete private verification images. The team should delete documents when verification is complete and they are no longer needed.
Private team records
Registration contacts, enquiries and education requests are stored in the private site database. When connected, these records also sync to a private Google Sheet controlled by Hilash’s team. Integration deliveries are queued while unavailable and can be retried by authorised administrators. Institute contacts and payment references remain private. Education fee contributions go directly to verified institutes.
Languages and sharing
The new learning opportunity form uses simple English and Hinglish. Existing language introductions remain available through their direct links. Full public-page translation links open Google Translate, whose own privacy policy applies; translation is optional and is not loaded on private forms. Social share buttons send a public link only when you choose to use them. Full articles and detailed forms retain their English originals.
Hosting and contact
The website uses Sites hosting with Cloudflare infrastructure and database storage. Hosting services may process technical request information. Contact emails go through your email service and Hilash’s email provider.
Your choices
For questions, removal of a contribution, or deletion of subscription data, contact hello@hilash.in. Please do not post private information in discussions.
